Darlene Wells is known as the Baddest Lady DJ on the Planet. DJ Lady D Wells currently spins throughout NYC and promotes her own private events.  Lady D Wells was recognized by the Legendary Reggie Wells who pulled her into his events giving her a head DJ spot in his nightclub.  Lady D Wells is known for her uptempo style of spinning music and true love for the mix.  Her mix of choice are 70’s, 80’s 90’s Classic Old School, Hip Hop, House, Reggae and Today’s R&B.  Spinning music has been the heart and soul of the Lady D Wells as she works the turntables as a true skilled professional in a male dominating field of Disc Jockeys.  She has and continues to work with the best male DJ’s in the business.  The art of the mix is what drives the Lady D Wells as she has been at the top of her music game.  Her career as a Female DJ has given her the opportunities to land positions on TOP NYC Radio.   The Lady D Wells started her radio career at  Fordham Radio with the Sir Panik Show WFUV Fordham University then worked at WYBC in New Haven Connecticut.  She performed at a live broadcast where Program Director Julie Gustings heard her spin and added her to WRKS FM - 98.7 Kiss FM Master Mix DJ lineup. When KISS FM was bought by ESPN Lady D Wells was then introduced to Program Director Skip Dillard at 107.5 WBLS where she continued her skill as a Mixmaster Disc Jockey.  The Lady D Wells also was introduced to ISOUL Radio with Jay Dixon who gave her a slot on Sunday Morning 3am - 6am as a Radio Personality. The Lady D Wells has worked for The Rhythm Review Felix Hernandez on several Classic Soul Events.  Lady D Wells has also entertained The National R&B Society with Vanessa Jordan.   She has entertained with the likes of Shaila, Lenny Green and many NYC Promoters for Private and Club Events .  She has travels throughout the United States to spin and out of the country to support events.  The Lady D Wells currently spins for 108 Soul of NY - an online radio show every Saturday 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM mixing the best of Classics and R&B.  Her show is called “Movin Thru The Eras”.

The  Lady D Wells continues to perform at a high level as a mix DJ, she has taken her craft to another level.   The Lady D Wells also teaches children the art of music.  She graduated 2014 from Manhattan College - Cum Laude and has devoted her own time teaching several classes at The Dream Center in Harlem NYC to show youths how to DJ.  She works with The Parks Department with allowing kids to train and utilize DJ equipment to give them an idea on what it is to spin music.  For the Lady D Wells it is a reward to see the kids show interest in music. They need guidance and if it is a way to do it through music she is excited to get involved.  

The Lady D Wells has received many awards for her work as a DJ.  In 2017 she launched her own station called XLDJS.  She is believes in the music she spins.  Her ability to work a crowd is incredible.  They call her the Baddest Lady DJ on the Planet.  Lady D Wells is a true professional and her music experience is amazing to those who know her follow her music.
